Deposit Protection Standard

End of Tenancy Cleaning

Hand back every property deposit-ready.

End of tenancy cleans carried out to the standards expected by all major deposit protection schemes. We work predominantly with letting agents and landlords, helping deposits get resolved fairly and properties get re-let faster.

Every clean follows the same set checklist, so the standard is consistent whether it's a studio flat or a four-bed house, and there's a clear scope to point to if a deposit question ever comes up.

Who it's for

  • Letting agents handling end-of-tenancy handovers
  • Landlords whose tenants have moved out
  • Tenants who want the clean handled professionally before check-out

What deposit-protection standard actually means

Cleaning is one of the most common causes of deposit disputes at the end of a tenancy. When a dispute goes to a deposit protection scheme, the adjudicator compares the condition recorded at check-in with the condition at check-out. The property doesn't have to be spotless in the abstract. It has to be handed back as clean as it was received. Fair wear and tear applies to the condition of a property, not to cleaning: the schemes are clear that dirt isn't wear and tear.

That's why every Regiment clean follows the same set checklist. It gives agents, landlords and tenants one clear scope everyone can point to: what was cleaned, to what standard, room by room. If a question does come up, the evidence trail is already there.

Two free guides go into the detail behind all of this: what letting agents and inventory clerks check at inspection, and how an end of tenancy clean differs from a deep clean, which sound interchangeable but are not the same job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is oven cleaning included in an end of tenancy clean?

Yes. The full kitchen deep clean (oven, hob, extractor and appliances) is part of the standard checklist, not an extra.

Is carpet cleaning included?

Vacuuming is included on every clean. Professional carpet cleaning is a priced add-on. Just mention carpets when you request your quote and we'll price it in up front.

What standard do you clean to?

The standards expected by all major deposit protection schemes. Every clean follows the same set checklist, so a studio flat is cleaned to the same scope as a four-bed house.

What happens if something's flagged after the clean?

If it's raised within 24 hours of the clean, tell us and we'll come back to put it right, free of charge.

Does the property need to be empty?

Yes, we clean empty properties only. It's how the checklist gets done properly: every cupboard, every surface, nothing worked around.

Do you work with tenants directly, or only agents and landlords?

Both. Most of our work comes from letting agents and landlords, but plenty of tenants book us directly to have the clean handled professionally before check-out.

Which areas do you cover?

Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire: 26 towns from Harrow and Watford to St Albans and High Wycombe. See the full coverage list for your postcode.
